Academic Committee

Student Chapters Committee
The Student Chapters Committee is dedicated to promoting the creation of student organizations within universities and public or private educational institutions. This initiative seeks to engage students in discussions on Internet governance, digital rights, and emerging technologies, fostering leadership and advocacy among the next generation of Internet professionals.

Elections Committee
The Elections Committee is responsible for overseeing the annual election process within the Internet Society Puerto Rico Chapter (ISOCPR). This committee establishes the election timeline, defines the parameters for candidacy, and ensures a fair and transparent voting process.
A key responsibility of the committee is to identify and evaluate qualified candidates for consideration in the election of the chapter’s Board of Directors. Activities and Technical Training Committee
The Activities and Technical Training Committee is responsible for creating spaces for discussion on topics that impact the evolution, development, and use of the Internet across technical, commercial, and social contexts. This committee plays a key role in advancing technical knowledge and expertise within the Internet Society Puerto Rico Chapter (ISOCPR).
One of its main objectives is to develop ISOC’s technical programs in collaboration with Puerto Rico’s technical community.
